Short title and commencement

Section 1
This Act may be cited as the Armed Forces
(Amendment)
Act 2024.

) This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette.
Amendment of section 109
Section 2
The Armed Forces Act 1972 [Act 77] is amended in subsection 109(2)—
(a)
by substituting for the colon at the end of the subsection a full stop; and
(b)
by deleting the proviso.
